Each inspection we do includes a very thorough Home Inspection report. This is a digital generated document that includes the use of high resolution pictures, videos, color coded text, and info about your home and its systems. We also provide approximate age and remaining life expectancy for major systems such as your home’s furnace, roof, hot water tank etc.
We use a professional grade software program specifically designed for residential and commercial property inspections, ensuring nothing gets missed, and the information you want is very easy to find. A typical inspection report is approximately 30 pages, delivered as a PDF that you can access or share to any electronic device. Long gone are the days of old fashion paper reports.
You can easily scan though your homes report and quickly spot the Red text, which indicates a safety hazard or a major repair needed. Yellow text indicates a minor repair is needed or a major repair might be needed in the future. Green text is comments specifically from your inspector. In addition to this, you will also see black text which is general information about your home, such as what type of fireplace you have and how often you should clean the chimney.
A good inspection report is more than a list of defects, it is also a resource for home owners to learn how their home works. Our reports highlight useful info like what to do if your furnace pilot light goes out, how to adjust the hot water temperature, how and where to reset the main electrical circuit breaker, etc.
Although we highly encourage our clients to be present during the inspection, This way you can ask your inspector any questions you may have. However we realize this is not always possible, and therefore the accuracy of the inspection report becomes even more critical.
